LDAR technology helps leak-free management

Recently, at the on-site promotion and training session for LDAR (Leak Detection and Repair) technology in the petrochemical industry held in Nanjing, Jinling Petrochemical Company took the lead as the first chemical enterprise in Jiangsu to adopt this advanced technology. They presented a detailed introduction and conducted an on-site demonstration, offering the petrochemical sector a successful model for managing unorganized VOC emissions. This initiative marks a significant step forward in environmental protection and operational efficiency within the industry. LDAR is a comprehensive system designed to monitor and control volatile organic compound (VOC) emissions throughout the chemical production process. Instead of relying solely on on-site measurements, which often come too late to prevent leaks, LDAR employs fixed or mobile monitoring equipment to continuously track key areas such as reactors, pipelines, pumps, compressors, valves, flanges, and other potential leakage points. Any detected leaks exceeding specified thresholds are promptly repaired, ensuring minimal environmental impact and improved safety standards. Since implementing the LDAR program in March 2012, Jinling Petrochemical has collected over 24,565 graphical data entries and more than 2 million sealed point records, all uploaded to a centralized leak-free management platform. The company has also established a robust internal management system that includes self-inspection, re-testing, and comprehensive evaluations across its operating departments. This has fostered a culture where every employee actively participates in identifying and addressing leaks, promoting a proactive approach to environmental responsibility. According to the company's officials, the implementation of LDAR technology has led to a reduction in product losses due to equipment leaks by over 90%. The results have been impressive, not only in terms of pollution control but also in enhancing process safety, lowering maintenance costs, and reducing workers' exposure to hazardous chemicals. By adopting LDAR, Jinling Petrochemical has elevated its VOC management practices to an internationally recognized standard, setting a benchmark for others in the industry to follow.

Solder Preform Feeder

The basic function of the Solder Preform Feeder is to flatten the solder thin or wire and produce solder plates. The use of the solder plate is to add thickness to some components that requires more solder content. The purpose of the feeder is to lessen the cost by taking out costings on component reels or other solutions that is currently implemented in SMT production process. KDW Solder Preform Feeder can be customized to any SMT Mounter brand and models. Currently, the Solder Preform Feeder is now available and passed machine compatibility test for SMT Machine brands such as Juki, Samsung, Fuji, Yamaha, Panasonic, and Siemens.
