Ministry of Industry and Information Technology conducts statistical surveys on the production of graphite and other products
In order to implement the "Notice of the General Office of the State Council on the Implementation of Comprehensive Measures to Control the Exploitation and Production of Refractory Clay Fluorite" (Guo Ban Fa [2010] No. 1), it is essential to enhance and refine the management of the non-metallic mineral industry. This initiative aims to ensure accurate and timely monitoring of production and operational activities within the non-metallic mining sector. Approved by the National Bureau of Statistics (Guo Tuan [2012] No. 112), the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology has decided to conduct a comprehensive statistical survey on the production of refractory clay, fluorite, graphite, magnesite, kaolin, talc, and asbestos products.
The survey will be conducted across all enterprises operating within the territory of the People's Republic of China (excluding Taiwan, Hong Kong, and Macao) that are engaged in the production of these non-metallic minerals and meet the criteria for small-scale or larger industrial enterprises. The objective is to gather detailed and reliable data to support policy-making and industry regulation.
The key aspects of the survey include: (1) assessing the production capacity of each enterprise; (2) recording the actual output of products; (3) tracking the volume of sales; and (4) collecting major technical and economic indicators such as cost efficiency, energy consumption, and resource utilization. These data will provide a clear picture of the current state of the industry and help guide future development strategies.
This initiative not only aligns with national policies but also ensures transparency and accountability in the non-metallic mineral sector. By improving data accuracy and consistency, the government can better manage resources, prevent over-exploitation, and promote sustainable development. The results of this survey will serve as a valuable reference for both policymakers and industry stakeholders.
