We know that the entire machine tool industry is now in the down range. From the perspective of the whole industry, it has continued to decline since the second half of 2011. It is still in the downward stage so far, but the magnitude and speed of the downside have been greatly slowed down. Because it is almost going down, this space is also limited. This situation has been going on for more than two years, and some of our sub-sectors have been operating more difficult.
At the time of the general meeting of the executive directors in December 2011, a judgment was made: China's machine tool industry has entered a new historical development stage since then. The rapid growth of the past decade and the triumph of the road have passed, and as a stage has passed, it is impossible to repeat. Because this is not a cyclical wave process, it is a transition in the development phase. Therefore, our industry has entered a new stage of development.
In the last stage of development, a major feature of economic development was the rapid expansion of scale. In the past ten years, the average annual growth rate of production and sales of the machine tool industry in China has been 26%. This growth rate is not available in the machine tool industry all over the world. So what new features will emerge in the new stage of development? This is the “transformation upgradeâ€, which is the continuous improvement of quality and efficiency.
It has been almost two years since 2011. It turns out that the judgment of the association that "our industry has entered a new stage of development" is correct. In the past two years, we have been talking about it all the time. Our industry enterprises should never hold such an illusion: in the face of economic downturn, the national macro-control will be motivated; then, downward and re-stimulus will form a cycle. Everyone has experienced such a process, but this cycle is impossible to reproduce in our industry. At that time, some people said that once again, 4 trillion yuan, the Chinese economy will rise. This is absolutely impossible, and the country will never introduce a stimulus policy similar to 4 trillion. The current conditions and the conditions at that time are different. The various resources of the country have not allowed another 4 trillion stimulus policies to be introduced. Everyone understands this truth, of course, but there is still illusion in my heart. It now appears that this situation is becoming more and more clear. Premier Li Keqiang spoke very clearly, and his words became more and more thorough. He said that it is a very figurative metaphor to use the easing policy now and to issue a stimulus to increase the currency of loans, which is equivalent to "paying for fire." However, the scale of manufacturing is generally shrinking. Many manufacturing companies are under-employed. Overcapacity is a common problem in today's enterprises, so consumption is reduced and market demand is declining. This is a prominent market change we are facing. Another problem is the labor force, which is also very prominent in our industry. In the past years of development, the labor force is a major dividend we eat. Now the labor force is not only the price increase, but also the imbalance between supply and demand. The relationship between supply and demand has changed. The advantage of China's labor cost is rapidly lost. This dividend has already been No longer exists. In addition, the constraints of land, energy, and environment are becoming more and more serious. The abrasives industry may feel deeper in this area because it is one of the industries with high energy consumption and high pollution in the entire machine tool industry. In the past few years, in the period of frenzied growth of the national economy, the cost of all aspects was relatively low. One of them was that the environmental cost was very low, and some enterprises' investment in the environment could be said to be negligible. But now it is not working, environmental issues are urgently needed, and the whole society is paying attention. Therefore, we can only take the road of transformation and upgrading.
Regarding the transformation and upgrading, I would like to emphasize the views of our association. Because of the transformation and upgrading, there is no ready-made model for enterprises to replicate. So many enterprises cannot achieve transformation and upgrading in a certain way according to a certain path. This is only a beautiful ideal, but it does not conform to the laws of science. Moreover, every enterprise has its own development model, and the problems it faces are different. It is impossible to follow the same path. From another point of view, our industry is now “big but not strongâ€. One of the outstanding problems is the serious homogenization and the lack of “personalizationâ€. In the next stage, each company should follow its own situation and take a different path of development. Now many leaders and industry experts are very anxious to go around and talk about what mode should be followed. They are all right, but this is only suitable for some enterprises and has no universal significance. Who is the transformation and upgrading? Only by yourself.
In the process of industrial transformation and upgrading, we must better play the role of the association. At the first meeting of the Association at the beginning of this year, I talked about the issue of the association's own construction, with the aim of making the association play a better role in the transformation and upgrading of the industry. So how can the association work? I think the fundamental problem is that the association itself must be "strong" and able to do things. In this way, we must strengthen our own construction. Why should we strengthen the association's own construction? First, our industry is undergoing transformation and upgrading, and the associations that serve the industry must change. Second, the country’s positioning of industry associations has changed. In this year’s State Council’s institutional reform plan adopted by the National People’s Congress, it is clearly stated that Reforming the social organization management system, the requirements for the positioning of social organizations are very clear. For these two reasons, the association must strengthen its own construction. The general meeting has proposed to strengthen its own construction from five aspects, namely, business, organization, team, system and culture. The work in these areas has already been carried out in the General Conference, and the latest developments will be reported to the chapters in a timely manner. In the process of strengthening self-construction, it is particularly proposed to strengthen the awareness of four aspects, namely market awareness, membership awareness, service awareness and openness. Because our members are most concerned about the market; the association mainly serves the members. The premise of the association is the members. The main body of the association is the members; the responsibility of the association is to provide services for the members; the service for the members should be open. attitude. The State Council stipulates that there are three functions and tasks of social organizations: First, providing services. There are two main directions, one is to provide services to members, the other is to provide services to the government; the second is to reflect appeals. This is also two-way. One is the member's appeal to the government. The association must reflect the industry's mainstream appeal to the government. Second, the government must also have certain requirements for the development of the industry. It is reflected in the policy. Some of the wishes and requirements must also be achieved through associations; third, normative behavior. It is to regulate the behavior of this team and group, such as corporate social responsibility, market behavior and so on. Some associations have now proposed initiatives against vicious competition within the club. Faced with less porridge and more homogenization of products, the competition is more intense, and the product itself has no outstanding features, the service can not keep up, and finally only rely on price competition.
