In order to fully leverage the supervisory and inspection roles of trade unions at all levels in safety production and labor protection, Dongying City Federation of Trade Unions has established a standardized team of labor protection supervisors. Focusing on the root causes of safety issues, the union has intensified training efforts by organizing city-wide training sessions for trade union labor protection inspectors. These programs aim to enhance the overall competence of supervisors and inspectors, ultimately reinforcing a safer working environment. Recently, Dongying City hosted a specialized training session for trade union labor protection supervisors and inspectors. Attendees included the chairmen of local trade unions, production directors, and representatives from major enterprises across the city. The event featured expert lectures from professionals such as Wang Chengran from the Occupational Health Division of the Municipal Work Safety Supervision Bureau, Liu Bao from the Legal Affairs and Petitions Section of the City Traffic Police, and Liu Zonghe, a leader from the Lihua Yi Group. They provided comprehensive insights into occupational health, traffic safety, and team safety management. Additionally, Liu Qiang, the Minister of Production Protection (Women and Workers) at the Municipal Federation of Trade Unions, discussed the current status and responsibilities of labor protection within trade unions and emphasized effective hazard identification practices. The training covered both theoretical knowledge and practical experience, including case studies and preventive strategies. After the session, participants were required to take a theoretical exam. Those who passed received the "Labor Protection Supervision and Inspection Certificate." This initiative has significantly improved the professional capabilities, theoretical understanding, and practical skills of trade union labor protection personnel. It has also strengthened the sense of responsibility and urgency among union officials in ensuring workplace safety. As a result, the union is better equipped to promote and advance labor protection initiatives, ultimately safeguarding the health and well-being of workers during their daily tasks.
