China has several manufacturers producing dust masks and gas masks. At the 84th China (International) Labor Protection Products Fair, nearly 40 companies specializing in respiratory protection participated. Additionally, international brands like 3M have entered the Chinese market, offering a wide range of products. With so many options available, it's crucial for consumers to know how to make an informed choice.

If a dust mask doesn't fit properly, harmful particles can leak through the gaps between the mask and the face, significantly reducing its effectiveness. At the West Japan Trading (Shanghai) Co., Ltd. booth, Shao Yizheng, the company's Business Manager, demonstrated the mask’s fit on-site. According to the testing equipment, the leakage rate was only about 2%. Shao explained that the Hing Yan Mask’s unique 3D rubber edge design ensures a better seal with the face, enhancing overall protection.

West Japan Trading serves as the general agent for Japan Research Co., Ltd. in China. The company imports all its products directly from Japan. When asked about the sales of imported products in China, Shao Yijun mentioned that due to the high cost of Japanese imports, some products are even 20 times more expensive than domestic alternatives. This pricing makes them less accessible to many local enterprises. However, Japanese mask technology has gained increasing recognition, and the company’s products are mainly used by Japanese-owned enterprises in China.

According to reports, Hing Yan masks use a filter made from electrostatically charged wool. The combination of strong electrostatic force and a three-layer structure, with a gap layer between two trapping layers, achieves a low fiber density while maintaining high filtration efficiency. This design also reduces breathing resistance. “Hing Yan masks are the only ones that use wool as a filter element,” said Shao Yixi.
