Realization of Localization of DCS System for Ultra Supercritical Units
Guodian Zhishen has implemented a three-step strategy—digesting, innovating, and advancing—to achieve the localization of the DCS (Distributed Control System) for 1000MW ultra-supercritical units. This strategy was first applied in the Taizhou Beilun project, then laid the foundation at Longshan Zhuanghe, and finally realized in the Shubi project. The approach involved deep technical research, practical application, and continuous optimization to meet the complex requirements of high-capacity power generation systems.
The initial step focused on understanding and mastering the control characteristics of ultra-supercritical units through projects like the Taizhou and Beilun Power Plants. These projects allowed Guodian Zhishen to gain insights into system performance, control logic, and operational stability. By using its own DCS system in smaller-scale projects such as the 600MW subcritical and supercritical units at Longshan and Zhuanghe, the company built a solid foundation for future large-scale applications.
In the second phase, the company applied the knowledge gained from earlier projects to implement the DCS system for the 1000MW ultra-supercritical unit at Shubi. This marked a significant milestone in the localization of advanced control technology in China’s power industry. The project was also recognized as part of the national "863 Plan" initiative, highlighting its strategic importance.
The third step involves further refining and expanding the DCS system to ensure reliability, scalability, and adaptability to future technological demands. This includes improving real-time performance, enhancing system redundancy, and integrating advanced control algorithms to support efficient and safe operation of large thermal power plants.
