Input type liquid level transmitter installation and structure description
The input type level transmitter is designed for easy installation and efficient operation. The sensor can be directly immersed in the liquid, while the transmitter unit can be mounted using a flange or bracket, making it highly convenient for both setup and daily use. This device operates on the principle that hydrostatic pressure is proportional to the height of the liquid. The static pressure is then converted into an electrical signal through the piezoresistive effect of diffused silicon or ceramic sensing elements. The output is temperature-compensated and linearly corrected, ultimately providing a standard 4-20 mA DC current signal.
When installed in a deep well or stationary tank, a steel pipe with an inner diameter of approximately 45 mm (with small holes at different heights to allow water to enter) is fixed in place, and the transmitter is then inserted into the pipe for accurate measurements. For applications involving flowing or agitated liquids, a similar steel pipe is used, but with small holes positioned opposite the direction of flow to ensure smooth water entry. The transmitter should be installed vertically and placed away from the liquid inlet, outlet, and any agitators to avoid interference.
In environments with significant vibration, the cable can be wrapped around the transmitter and secured with a steel wire to prevent damage and maintain stability.
