Printing rubber roller is one of the main components of the printing system of the printing machine. The main materials are natural rubber, nitrile rubber, silicone rubber, polyurethane rubber, etc. The middle and high grades are generally selected from polyurethane glue. In the process of use, the printing rubber roller often has problems such as surface crystallization, calcification, scratches, numbness, ink emulsification, premature cleavage, aging and the like. Why do these problems occur, how to avoid problems, in other words, and then extend the service life while ensuring the quality of printing?


We know that printing rubber rollers should have good ink absorption and ink transmission. Generally, the surface of high-quality rubber rollers is usually fine and smooth, and the hand feels slightly sticky. However, because the rubber roller has to be in constant contact with water, ink, paper, etc. for a long time, although we emphasize that it needs to be cleaned every time, due to human factors, cleaning and maintenance cannot be completely thorough, which causes various substances to accumulate layer by layer. The surface of the rubber roller will close the original capillary pores on the surface of the rubber roller to form a smooth crystal layer similar to calcium, which seriously affects the ink transfer and water transfer performance, and thus can not stably control the ink color of the print. In order to solve this problem, some users may use special starting paste and effluent water to clean, but this method is a bit time consuming and laborious, and invisibly increases the production cost, and the effect is not very satisfactory. A better way is to wash with a little citric acid water after each wash, so that some calcium impurities on the surface of the rubber roller react chemically to form a soluble substance for cleaning.


During the operation of the printing press, if the "large water ink" produces ink emulsification, a hydrophilic foundation is formed on the smooth rubber roller, which will deink the ink. The solution is to remove the emulsified ink, wash the deinking roller with gasoline, mix it with 5% sodium hydroxide solution and pumice powder, and polish the hard roller with fine water sand in the state of water spray. The printing roller is prone to scratches because the rubber roller is relatively soft, and a slight hard object will be scratched during high-speed operation. In particular, the alcohol dampening solution is pressed against the plate water roller, and once scratches occur, it can no longer be used. There are two main reasons: one is that the printing plate is not tight or the clip is not tight, the printing plate often has cracks and cracks at the tip of the printing plate, scratching against the plate water and the ink roller; second, the ink roller maintenance is not timely. . The rubber roller has been used for a long time, and the chemical is eroded, which is not timely maintained, causing the rubber to lose the "slag". There are many impurities such as ink and ink residue on the rubber roller, which accelerates the friction, heat and aging of the rubber roller, and makes the surface of the rubber roller full of numbness, if the use seriously affects the quality of the printed product.
