Dome lenses are hemispheres. The two optical surfaces are an equal thickness apart, creating a naturally strong shape that gets tougher under pressure. This makes dome windows ideal for underwater environments and in applications such as camera dome ports and submersible windows.
Sapphire domes: For infrared applications we can provide sapphire domes. Sapphire is an extremely hard material with transmission of over 80% in the 2-5µm wavelength range. As with fused silica, sapphire is able to withstand extreme pressures, making it the perfect material for underwater camera and missile fairing applications.

Rolling bearings used in hollow shaft equipment play a crucial role in industrial applications, especially in the fine grinding process of mills. This technology has been widely adopted in China due to its numerous advantages, such as energy savings, improved production efficiency, reduced lubricant consumption, lower maintenance costs, and minimized environmental pollution.
The traditional method of installing rolling bearings in hollow shaft equipment involved machining the inner diameter of the hollow shaft to fit the bearing. A top sleeve was then pressed into the discharge spiral cylinder or feeding bushing, which was fixed using bolts. However, during operation, the feeding screw and fixing bolts often loosened, leading to misalignment between the top sleeve and the hollow shaft. This caused dust to enter the bearing housing through the gap, contaminating the lubricating grease and potentially damaging the bearing.
To address these issues, a new approach has been developed after years of research and practical application. This method involves thickening the diameter of the mill’s hollow shaft and using thin oil cooling to maintain the temperature of the hollow shaft within a safe range (below 60°C). This not only improves the performance of the bearing but also extends its service life.
In the industrial context, the use of rolling bearings in hollow shaft equipment is essential. Therefore, it's important to monitor their performance through central control systems to ensure optimal operation. This approach brings about significant improvements in various aspects of production.
