Type of wood preservative

There are various types of防腐 wood available, each with unique properties and applications. Some of the most commonly used include Pinus sylvestris var. mairei, southern pine, Douglas fir, willow, and pineapple grain anti-corrosive wood, among others.

1) Russian Pinus sylvestris

Russian Pinus sylvestris is a popular choice for its durability and aesthetic appeal. It undergoes high-pressure treatment to ensure full-section protection against decay and insects. This type of wood is widely favored by architects and engineers due to its strong mechanical properties and attractive grain. It can be used both indoors and outdoors, and thanks to its advanced anti-corrosion process, it maintains its integrity over time, making it ideal for long-term structural applications.

2) Nordic Pine

Nordic pine, especially the high-quality European red pine, is treated with special preservatives that provide resistance to termites, fungi, and moisture. It's designed for outdoor use and can withstand direct contact with water and soil. This makes it an excellent material for garden structures like decks, fences, bridges, and planks. Its natural beauty and durability make it a top choice for outdoor wooden projects.

3) Western Red Cedar

Western Red Cedar is considered the premium preservative wood in North America. Its natural resistance to decay comes from compounds called thujaplicins, while another acid, thujic acid, helps protect it from insect damage without the need for artificial treatments. This wood is highly stable, long-lasting, and resistant to warping or deformation. It’s also well-suited for humid environments like bathrooms, kitchens, and saunas, where it can be used to create cabinets and wardrobes. Due to its natural qualities and lack of chemical treatments, it's highly sought after globally.

4) Yellow Pine (Southern Pine)

Yellow Pine, also known as Southern Pine, is renowned for its strength, density, and excellent nail-holding power. It's often used in high-stress applications and can be directly treated with preservatives to protect the core of the wood. Once pressure-treated, it can be cut freely during installation without requiring additional surface coatings. This makes it suitable for use in marine environments, such as seawater or river water, where it remains corrosion-free for years.

5) Hemlock

Hemlock is one of the most versatile and elegant wood species in the North American market. While slightly less strong than yellow pine, it excels in anti-corrosion treatment and offers a beautiful, durable finish. After pressure treatment, hemlock retains its shape and size, resisting shrinkage, swelling, warping, and distortion. It's also sun-resistant, maintaining its color even after years of exposure. With strong nail-holding ability and good adhesion, it accepts various finishes and is highly wear-resistant. As an economical option, it's perfect for outdoor use in a wide range of applications.
