How to apply chlorothalonil preparation and precautions
Chlorothalonil is a highly effective, low-toxicity, and low-residue broad-spectrum fungicide that offers both preventive and curative effects. It is particularly useful in protecting greenhouse crops such as cucumbers from downy mildew and tomatoes from early blight, late blight, and gray mold, as well as celery from spot blight and amaranth from gray mold. The pesticide formulation can be applied before or during the onset of disease, typically at a rate of 250 to 300 grams per 667 square meters. Before application, it's important to close all vents and louvers to ensure proper coverage.
To apply the smoke agent, first choose several points within the greenhouse and evenly distribute the smoke powder on the ground—ideally by hanging it. Light it using incense or a cigarette. Each smoke agent comes in a 100g bag, which can be used entirely in a greenhouse. For smaller sheds, you can roll old newspaper into a small tube, place the smoke powder inside, light it, or use a 100g smoke column cut into two parts. Ignite the smoke agents sequentially, starting from one end of the shed and moving toward the other.
